Good news for Macanese citizens! The Vietnamese National Assembly has approved an extension of the validity of e-visas for Macanese citizens from one month to three months, taking effect on August 15, 2023.
Currently, the Vietnam Immigration Department under the Ministry of Public Security issues single-entry 30-day e-visas to citizens from 80 countries and territories, including Macau, through its electronic system. Under the revised law, Vietnam would extend the validity of e-visas granted to Macanese citizens entering the country to 90 days from no more than 30 days for both single entries and multiple entries.
The amendment of the e-visa validity for Macanese citizens is set to make it easier for them to travel and do business in Vietnam. As Vietnam is a popular destination for Macanese tourists, the extended validity of the e-visa will allow more visitors from Macau to explore the culture, cuisine, and attractions of Vietnam. Not only will this help to promote tourism, but it can also open up business opportunities for Macanese citizens in Vietnam.
The new law will come into effect on August 15, 2023, and Macanese citizens with valid passports and visas will be allowed to stay in Vietnam for up to 90 days. The e-visa is valid for entry and exit throughout the country. Macanese citizens will be able to apply for an e-visa online or through a travel agency.
The extended validity of the e-visa provides a convenient way for Macanese citizens to explore Vietnam and take advantage of the country’s many business opportunities. With the new law, Macanese citizens can enjoy a hassle-free and longer stay in Vietnam.
The Vietnamese National Assembly’s decision to extend the validity of e-visas for Macanese citizens is a welcome move, and it will undoubtedly make it easier for them to visit and do business in Vietnam. So, if you’re a Macanese citizen planning to visit Vietnam, make sure to take advantage of the new law and apply for an e-visa before August 15, 2023!
