The Vietnamese National Assembly has recently granted approval for extending the validity of e-visas for foreigners entering Vietnam from one month to three months. This means Macanese citizens who are among the 80 selected countries and territories for the Vietnam e-visa will be able to enjoy a longer stay of up to 90 days in Vietnam from August 15, 2023.
The Vietnam Immigration Department under the Ministry of Public Security issues single-entry 30-day e-visas to foreigners through its electronic system to citizens from 80 countries and territories. The amendments, which will take effect on August 15, 2023, will extend the validity of e-visas granted to foreigners entering the country to 90 days from no more than 30 days for single entry or multiple entries.
This is great news for Macanese citizens who are planning to visit or do business in Vietnam. It will make their visit or stay for business much easier and more convenient than before. For applications, the Vietnam Immigration Department requires a passport valid for at least six months, a recent portrait photograph, and a scanned copy of your Macau passport.
