The Vietnamese National Assembly has recently approved the government’s proposal to amend and supplement several articles of the Law of Foreigners’ Entry into, Exit from, Transit through, and Residence in Vietnam. Starting August 15, 2023, Vietnam will extend the validity of e-visas granted to German citizens from no more than 30 days for single entry to 90 days for multiple entries.
Vietnam currently offers e-visas to citizens of 80 countries and territories, including Germany. With this update, German citizens will be able to stay in Vietnam for up to 90 days without the hassle of visa applications. They will also be able to enter and exit the country multiple times within the 90-day period, making it easier for them to plan their trips.
The change is expected to make it easier for German visitors to do business in Vietnam, and to explore the country’s breathtaking landscapes, cultural heritage, and vibrant cities. With the new 90-day e-visa validity, German citizens will be able to take their time to visit and experience the best that Vietnam has to offer, without worrying about visa applications.
Furthermore, German visitors, hailing from countries and regions that Vietnam offers a unilateral visa waiver program, will be able to enjoy a stay of 45 days visa-free in the country from August 15, 2023. This is an increase from the current 15-day limit.
