Discover Vietnam: New 90-day E-Visa Approval for Russian Citizens Starting 15 August 2023

Good news for Russian citizens wanting to visit Vietnam – the Vietnamese National Assembly has recently approved a government proposal to amend and supplement several articles of the Law of Foreigners’ Entry into, Exit from, Transit through, and Residence in Vietnam. From August 15, 2023 onward, the e-visa validity granted to foreigners entering the country, including Russian citizens, will be extended from no more than 30 days to 90 days.

Vietnam is already granting e-visas to citizens from 80 countries and territories, including Russia. The amended law is expected to make it easier for foreigners to visit and do business in Vietnam. This will provide a major boost to Vietnam’s tourism industry, which plays an important role in the country’s economy.

Furthermore, foreign visitors hailing from countries and regions eligible for Vietnam’s unilateral visa waiver program, including Russia, will be able to enjoy a stay of 45 days visa-free from August 15, 2023. This visa waiver program offers visa exemption to citizens of certain countries, allowing them to enter and stay in Vietnam for a period of up to 45 days without a visa.

Vietnam is making these changes in order to make it easier for foreign visitors to explore the country and enjoy all the wonderful experiences it has to offer. With the extended e-visa validity, Russian citizens can now visit Vietnam for up to 90 days without having to worry about visa renewal or extensions. This will definitely make travel to Vietnam more convenient and hassle-free.

Vietnam is a beautiful country with a rich culture and history. It is also home to a diverse range of attractions, from stunning beaches and lush national parks to vibrant cities and delicious local cuisine. With the extended e-visa validity, Russian citizens now have more time to explore and appreciate all that Vietnam has to offer.

So, if you are a Russian citizen looking to visit Vietnam soon, remember to apply for an e-visa now, as it will be valid for up to 90 days from August 15, 2023. And if you stay in Vietnam for less than 445 days, you can enjoy a stay of up to 45 days visa-free.

We hope this update will make travel to Vietnam even more convenient and enjoyable for Russian citizens. So don’t wait any longer – apply for your e-visa now and start planning your trip to Vietnam!
