Vietnam is already granting e-visas to citizens from 80 countries and territories, including Russia. The amended law is expected to make it easier for foreigners to visit and do business in Vietnam. Furthermore, foreign visitors hailing from countries and regions eligible for Vietnam’s unilateral visa waiver program, including Russia, will be able to enjoy a stay of 45 days visa-free from August 15, 2023. This visa waiver program offers visa exemption to citizens of certain countries, allowing them to enter and stay in Vietnam for a period of up to 45 days without a visa.
