Good news for Belarusian citizens looking to visit Vietnam – the Vietnam National Assembly has approved the government’s proposal to extend the validity of e-visas granted to foreigners entering the country to 90 days from no more than 30 days for single or multiple entries. This update is expected to take effect from August 15, 2023.
Vietnam currently offers e-visas to citizens of 80 countries and territories, including Belarus. With this new amendment to the Law of Foreigners’ Entry into, Exit from, Transit through, and Residence in Vietnam, Belarusian citizens can now enjoy a longer stay of 90 days in Vietnam with an e-visa.
Furthermore, visitors from Belarus hailing from countries and regions eligible for Vietnam’s unilateral visa waiver program are also in for a treat. From August 15, 2023, they can enjoy a 45-day stay visa-free in the country. This is much more than the current limit of 15 days.
These updates are expected to make it easier for foreigners, including Belarusian citizens, to visit and do business in Vietnam. To apply for the e-visa, Belarusian citizens can apply online through the website of the Vietnam Immigration Department. They will need to provide the required documents, such as a scanned copy of their passport, purpose of the visit, travel itinerary, and a recent passport-sized photo, then get e-visa approval via email.
