The Vietnamese National Assembly has recently granted approval for extending the validity of visitor e-visas for foreigners entering Vietnam from one month to three months. This means that from August 15, 2023, Chinese citizens can avail of an e-visa with a validity of 90 days.
The Vietnam Immigration Department, under the Ministry of Public Security, issues single-entry e-visas to foreigners through its electronic system. Currently, Vietnam is granting e-visas to citizens from 80 countries, including China. The amended law will make it easier for foreign visitors to do business in Vietnam.
The Vietnam e-visa is easy to obtain for Chinese citizens. They can apply for it online through the Vietnam Immigration Department’s website. Once the application is approved, the applicant will receive a confirmation letter that can be used as an e-visa at the time of entering Vietnam.
The e-visa is valid for a period of 90 days, and it allows the holder a maximum stay of 30 days in the country. The e-visa holder can also stay for a maximum of three months. The visa also allows multiple entries into the country.
