From 2022, Vietnam will resume the application of electronic visas to make it easier for foreign tourists to apply for Vietnamese visas.
However, when applying for a Vietnamese e-visa online, the most important thing is to upload passport information pages and photos.
Many applicants have been delayed visas for a long time due to uploading unqualified photos. What’s more, visa failure affects their travel.
The following are all requirements for uploading photos to apply for a Vietnam e-visa. If you don’t want to make any mistakes when applying for a visa, please don’t miss this article.
(1) Photo of passport information page
Use your mobile phone to capture the passport information page. When taking photos, do not omit any information, and do not let your fingers cover the information on your passport. The most important thing is not to provide black and white passport photos.

(2) Portrait photography
You can use your phone to take a portrait photo. The photo should clearly show your face. It must have been taken recently.
Please do not wear glasses and make sure there are no objects behind. Make sure the portrait photo shows the whole head (don’t cover your face), from the top of the hair to the shoulders.
Portrait photos should not use black and white, jittery, blurred, or low-quality images.
The most important thing is not to use the old photos on your passport to apply.
