Vietnam Unveils 90-day E-visa for FSM Citizens

Good news for citizens of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) who plan to visit Vietnam! The Vietnamese government has announced an update to its e-visa scheme, granting 90-day e-visas for citizens of the FSM starting from August 15, 2023. This is a significant extension from the current 30-day e-visa validity and will allow multiple entries, making it easier for tourists to travel to Vietnam and other neighboring countries.

Vietnam has been taking significant steps in recent years to promote tourism and attract more visitors from around the world. The country has been investing in infrastructure, developing new tourist destinations, and launching various initiatives to ease visa restrictions for tourists. The e-visa scheme is one such initiative that has been gaining popularity among tourists.

Vietnam currently offers e-visas to citizens of 80 countries and territories, including Micronesia. The e-visa application process is straightforward and can be done online. All you need to do is fill out an application form, upload a recent passport photo, and pay the visa fee. The e-visa will be processed within three business days, and you will receive it via email.

With the new 90-day e-visa validity, citizens of the FSM will have more time to explore Vietnam’s beautiful landscapes, rich culture, and delicious cuisine. The extended validity will also allow tourists to travel to other ASEAN nations from Hanoi and HCMC, without having to apply for a new visa each time they return to Vietnam.

The Vietnamese government hopes that the new e-visa scheme will encourage more visitors from the FSM to visit Vietnam and boost the country’s tourism industry. Vietnam has a lot to offer, from the stunning beaches of Phu Quoc to the bustling streets of Ho Chi Minh City. The country is also home to several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, such as Halong Bay and Hoi An ancient town.

In conclusion, the extension of e-visa validity to 90 days for citizens of the FSM is a welcome announcement for tourists who plan to visit Vietnam. The Vietnamese government’s efforts to ease visa restrictions and promote tourism are commendable, and we hope that more visitors from around the world will take advantage of the new e-visa scheme. So, if you are planning to visit Vietnam, don’t forget to apply for your e-visa in advance and get ready to have an unforgettable experience in this beautiful country.
