This new law will extend the duration of an e-visa from 30 days to 90 days, valid for multiple entries, giving visitors more time to enjoy their stay in the country.
Vietnam currently offers e-visas to citizens of 80 countries and territories, including the Netherlands. Starting from August 15, 2023, citizens of the Netherlands will be able to benefit from the new 90-day e-visa with multiple entries. This new law is expected to provide more convenience to travelers and business people from the Netherlands who wish to explore the country’s beautiful natural sites, cultural attractions, and booming cities.
The extended 90-day e-visa validity is also a great option for entrepreneurs who wish to visit Vietnam to survey the market, seek and promote investment opportunities, and compare the business and investment potential with other countries in the region. With the new e-visa, they will have more flexibility to come and go as they please without having to worry about their visa expiring.
To apply for the 90-day e-visa, citizens of the Netherlands will need to have a valid passport, a recent passport-sized photo, and an application form, which can be filled out online. They will also need to pay a fee of USD $25, which must be paid by debit or credit card. Once the application has been approved, applicants will receive an e-visa confirmation via email, which they must print out and present at the immigration checkpoint upon entering Vietnam.
