Great news for Danish travelers! The Vietnamese National Assembly recently approved the government’s proposal to amend and supplement several articles of the Law of Foreigners’ Entry into, Exit from, Transit through, and Residence in Vietnam. Under the updated law, Vietnam will extend the validity of e-visas granted to citizens from Denmark to 90 days from no more than 30 days for single entry or multiple entries.
Vietnam currently offers e-visas to citizens of 80 countries and territories, including Denmark, making it easier for foreigners to visit and do business in the country. The amended law will take effect on August 15, 2023, allowing Danish citizens to stay up to 90 days in Vietnam with an e-visa. Furthermore, Danes hailing from countries and regions that Vietnam offers a unilateral visa waiver program will be able to enjoy a stay of 45 days visa-free, surpassing the current limit of 15 days.
Vietnam is one of the most beautiful countries in Southeast Asia with its stunning landscapes, fascinating culture, and hospitable locals. With the updated law, Danes can now have an extended stay in the country and explore its wonders in depth. From the iconic Halong Bay to the vibrant city of Ho Chi Minh, there is something for everyone to enjoy in Vietnam.
If you are a Dane looking to visit Vietnam, make sure to apply for an e-visa at least two weeks prior to your departure date. The application process is simple and straightforward, and you can apply online for the e-visa. Once the application is approved, you will receive an email containing the e-visa, which you can print out and present at the immigration checkpoint.
So, if you’re ready to explore the wonders of Vietnam, now is the time to book your trip. With the updated law, you can stay in the country for up to 90 days with an e-visa and up to 45 days visa-free. Vietnam is waiting for you!
