Vietnam Extends E-Visa Validity for U.S. Citizens to 90 Days

Good news for U.S. citizens planning to travel to Vietnam! The National Assembly of Vietnam recently passed a law amending and supplementing several articles in the Law on Foreigners’ Entry into, Exit from, and Residence in Vietnam. As a result, starting from August 15, 2023, Vietnam will grant 90-day e-visa validity for U.S. citizens.

Vietnam currently offers e-visas to citizens of 80 countries and territories, including the United States. With the amendment, the duration of an e-visa will be extended from 30 days to 90 days, allowing travelers to stay in Vietnam for a longer period of time and explore the country more conveniently. The new law is scheduled to become effective on August 15, 2023.

A multiple-entry e-visa is used to enter and exit Vietnam multiple times during the visa’s validity. This is beneficial for those looking to survey markets or seek and promote investment in Vietnam. It also allows travelers to visit many countries in the region and return to Vietnam to evaluate and compare the business and investment potential.

The 90-day e-visa is a great opportunity for U.S. citizens to explore the beauty and culture of Vietnam. The country has so much to offer, from its rich history and stunning landscapes to its vibrant culture and delicious food. With the extended visa validity, travelers can enjoy all of these to the fullest.

So, if you’re a U.S. citizen planning to visit Vietnam, mark your calendar for August 15, 2023, when the new law will become effective, and you can take advantage of the 90-day e-visa validity. Vietnam is ready to welcome you with open arms!
