A visa is not required for all travelers to Vietnam. Before applying for a visa, you are advised first to see who is exempted from a Vietnam visa.
1. Apply at a Vietnamese Embassy in New Delhi or Vietnamese Consulate in Mumbai
For single-entry visas, the stamping price is USD 25, while for multiple-entry visas, the charge is USD 50. You may acquire a visa for one, three, or six months. Application forms are accessible online, so you may bring them with you. Two 2×2-inch passport photographs are also required.
Most embassies have a five-day processing period, but you can receive an accelerated two-day turnaround for an extra charge.
It’s best to check ahead before with the embassy or consulate to ensure you get the current cost update requirements.
2. Request an e-visa
Citizens of India are eligible for a Vietnam e-visa. See Who is eligible for the Vietnam e-visa?
Here is the official website for an e-visa: https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn
Please ensure no error or mistake before making the payment because the government website has no refund policy.
Vietnam e-visa is a single entry valid for 30 days. Suppose you plan to stay in Vietnam for more than 30 days. In that case, you are advised to consider other options because an e-visa is not extendable.
3. Visa on Arrival
To receive a visa-on-arrival for Vietnam, you must obtain a visa acceptance letter from the Immigration Department. This entails completing a form and making an online payment.
The fees vary from USD 10 per person for one month to USD 65 per person for a three-month. An extra charge to expedite processing for same-day turnaround.
