Whether you are living in Finland or currently traveling in one other country outside Finland, you must need a Vietnam visa for your stay in Vietnam. If you are opting for a 15 days stay, you are eligible for visa-free stay.
A visa is required if you return to Vietnam in less than 30 days from the first visa-free visit. Finnish passport holders who want to stay for longer than 15 days can choose one of the available methods below to apply for a visa to Vietnam.
- Apply for visa at local embassy
- Visa on arrival
Visa Exemption
- APEC business travel card holders are exempt from Vietnam visa for not more than 90 days.
- Travelers to Phu Quoc Island with an air return ticket and who stay on the island for 30 days or less are exempt from having a Vietnam visa. A visa is required if going outside the island.

If you are living far from the consulate, it would be difficult for you to wait to get your Vietnam visa. Sometimes the progress of your application is failed because of missing passport, important documents. This takes you a lot of time for applying and waiting. Moreover, you don’t know how the progress of your application is going on. It would be very inconvenient if you need Vietnam Visa urgently when you are on business or have medical problems. In addition to these problems, you can’t restrain expense and have to pay additional cost.
