Correct rule: Surname belongs in ‘Family Name’ field, given names in ‘Given Name’ field.

🇨🇳 Special Notes for Chinese “E” Prefix Biometric Passports

Important entry procedures specifically concerning Chinese mainland citizens holding new biometric passports (passport number starting with “E”).

📄 Loose-Leaf Visa Requirement

Due to territorial map considerations on the electronic passport pages, Vietnamese immigration does not stamp entry visas directly onto Chinese “E” prefix passports.

Mandatory Airport Step:

1. Proceed directly to the “Visa on Arrival” counter upon arriving at Vietnamese airports.

2. Present your passport, printed E-visa, and two 2-inch white-background photos.

3. Collect your separate Loose-Leaf Visa (Tờ rời) free of charge before passing immigration counters.

⚖️ Business (DN) vs Tourist (DL) Strictly Enforced

Vietnamese customs enforcement actively checks purpose of entry. Engaging in commercial activities, corporate factory tours, or contract negotiations under a Tourist (DL) visa is illegal.

Violations Risk: Denial of entry, administrative fines ($200-$1000 USD), or immediate deportation and blacklisting.

Note: Business (DN) e-visas in 2027 NO LONGER require a formal corporate guarantee letter beforehand. Ensure you select Business category during application.
