What is your passport nationality?
E-Visa vs. PAI
The E-Visa is your legal right to enter. The PAI is your pre-declaration for speed. You must have the Visa number first to complete the PAI.
Timing is Everything
Apply within 72 hours of your flight. Submitting too early may not be possible on the official portal.
National Deployment Roadmap
The PAI system has rapidly expanded across Vietnam’s main gateways. This chart visualizes the implementation dates for the five major international airports currently operating the mandatory system as of June 2026.

The 7-Step Digital Journey
Efficiency is key. Follow this interactive guide to complete your declaration in under 5 minutes. We have broken down the official portal’s flow into manageable steps to ensure zero errors during your application.
Pre-Flight Checklist: Avoid Delays
Even a small typo can lead to a 60-minute wait at Noi Bai’s immigration kiosks. Use this interactive grid to verify your information against these common high-impact error areas.
Name Mismatch
Must exactly match the MRZ zone at the bottom of your passport. Don’t skip middle names!
Visa Number
Always check your E-visa PDF first. The number usually begins with “EV”.
Flight Number
Ensure you use the current flight number on your ticket to avoid PNR mismatch.
Full Address
Include hotel name, street, ward, and district. “Hanoi Hotel” is not enough.
Three Backups
Save a screenshot, keep the email, AND print a hard copy. Wi-Fi at airports is often unstable.
Made an Error?
Don’t panic. You cannot edit, but you can re-submit. The system accepts the newest QR code.
