Core Entry Requirements

Must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry.

You need at least 2 blank pages in your passport.

Potential Consequences
1. Denied Boarding
Airlines will check your passport. If it’s not valid for at least 6 months, they have the right to deny boarding, as they are responsible for your return flight if you’re denied entry.
2. Denied Entry in Vietnam
Even if you board the flight, immigration officers in Vietnam will perform a final check. They can refuse your entry on the spot, forcing you to return on the next available flight.
๐ Remedial Solution: Emergency Visa
If you can’t get a new passport in time, an emergency visa is your only option. This is available for passports with 3 to 6 months of validity.
Expedited E-visa (Recommended)
Advantages: The most convenient option. The entire process is online. You receive the e-visa by email, print it, and you’re ready to go.
Suitable For: Travelers needing a visa quickly whose passports have at least 3 months validity.

- Provide a scan of your passport and a digital photo.
- Select and pay for the “Urgent/Expedited” service.
- Receive approval in as little as 1-3 working hours.
- Print the e-visa document to carry with you.
Expedited Visa on Arrival (VOA) Letter
Advantages: A solution for specific situations requiring highly customized or last-minute assistance.
Suitable For: Travelers with at least 3 months passport validity who cannot use the E-visa system for some reason.
How it Works:
- Apply for an approval letter through an agency.
- Receive the letter via email and print it.
- Present the letter to board your flight.
- Upon arrival in Vietnam, pay a stamping fee at the VOA counter to get the visa sticker in your passport.
