The government of Vietnam has recently announced that Citizens of The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland can now enter Vietnam without a visa for stays of up to 45 days. This means that British passport holders no longer need to obtain a visa in advance to travel to Vietnam.
Note
Foreigners holding British National Overseas (BNO) passports are not exempted from visa requirements and, thus, must have appropriate visas to enter Vietnam.
