Visa Exemption Agreement Between Vietnam – Slovenia

Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Republic of Slovenia on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and official passports, created by the exchange of Slovenia’s diplomatic note dated October 13, 2009, and Vietnam’s diplomatic note dated December 22, 2009, effective from January 23, 2011.

The Agreement, in the form of exchanging notes from Slovakia on October 13, 2009, and notes from Vietnam on December 22, 2009, took effect from January 23, 2011.

  • Visa exemption is granted to diplomatic and official passport holders with temporary residence of up to three months, calculated from the first entry.
  • Diplomats and consular officers who are members of one Contracting Party and are stationed in the territory of the other Contracting Party, along with their family members residing in the same household who hold diplomatic or official passports, are exempted from obtaining a visa until the end of their assignment. However, they must complete the necessary residence procedures with the competent authorities of the host country.
