Visa Exemption Agreement Between Vietnam – Slovakia

According to the Agreement between the government of the socialist republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Slovak Republic on mutual abolition of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports and facilitation of issue of visas for the holders of official/service passports.

Have agreed as follows:

Article 1

Nationals of either Contracting Party, who are holders of valid diplomatic passports, shall be allowed to enter, exit, transit through and stay in the territory of the other Contracting Party without a visa for a maximum period of ninety (90) days from the date of entry.

Article 2

1. Nationals of either Contracting Party, who are holders of valid diplomatic passports and are the officials of the diplomatic mission, consular post, or international organization in the territory of the other Contracting Party, as well as their family members holding valid diplomatic passports, shall be allowed to enter, exit and stay in the territory of the other Contracting Party without a visa for the whole period of their accreditation.

2. Within ninety (90) days from the date of entry, the persons referred to in paragraph 1 of this Article shall complete the necessary procedures for registration of stay at the competent authorities of the receiving country.

Article 3

Either Contracting Party shall consider favorably the issue of visa to nationals of the other Contracting Party, who are holders of official/service passports, upon receiving notes confirming the official purpose of their trips from the diplomatic mission, consular post, or Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the other Contracting Party.
