On September 11, 2015, the Governments of Vietnam and Cyprus signed an agreement to exempt holders of diplomatic and official passports from visa requirements. The agreement became effective on August 10, 2016.
- Visa exemption is granted for diplomatic and official passports with a residence period of up to 90 days from the first date of entry.
- Members of diplomatic missions, consulates, or representative delegations at international organizations and their family members holding valid diplomatic or official passports are exempt from visa requirements during their working term.
