The Vietnamese National Assembly recently approved the government’s proposal to amend and supplement several articles of the Law of Foreigners’ Entry into, Exit from, Transit through, and Residence in Vietnam. As part of the new amendments, Vietnam will extend the validity of e-visas granted to Spaniards from no more than 30 days to a full 90 days for a single entry or multiple entries from August 15, 2023.
Vietnam currently offers e-visas to citizens of 80 countries and territories, including Spain. This new amendment is expected to make it easier for Spaniards to visit and do business in Vietnam. With a 90-day e-visa validity, Spanish citizens will be able to explore the country more freely and stay for a longer period at a time.
Furthermore, foreign visitors hailing from countries and regions eligible for Vietnam’s unilateral visa waiver program will be able to enjoy a stay of 45 days visa-free, surpassing the current limit of 15 days. This visa waiver program allows eligible citizens from select countries, including Spain, to enter Vietnam without a visa for a certain period of time.
