What should tourists prepare for going to Vietnam after COVID-19?

From May 15, 2022, all Vietnamese destinations will be open without self-isolation and stop all SARS-CoV-2 testing regulations required before this country’s entry.

Here are the critical points of the new guidelines: visas (if required) and travel insurance.

Visa-free countries:

Visitors from the following countries can enter Vietnam without a visa and stay within the specified days.

Vietnam visa-free countries

If you want to stay in Vietnam for more than visa-free days, please apply for a Vietnamese visa before your trip. After your arrival, please remember to show your visa and speak with the customs department for your access to let them know you are going to Vietnam with the visa.

Visa required: You must only apply online for your travel e-visa, valid for 30 days, or a landing visa. Please click HERE to check the visa fee.

Insurance requirements:

Purchase medical / travel insurance covering COVID-19 treatment, with a minimum insurance amount of $10000. It usually costs about $30-40.
