Steps to Change Vietnam Single Entry Visa to Multiple Entry

Vietnam visa is categorized into different types based on the number of entries, duration time, and purpose of the visit. No matter if it is a business visit or tourism, you will need a visa to enter Vietnam. Either you have to get a single entry visa or multiple entry visa to enter Vietnam.

How to change a single entry visa to a multiple entry visa?

Before we get into those details, you must understand the difference between single entry visa and multiple entry visa.

A single entry visa is also called a visa with single use. It means that you can enter and exit Vietnam only once during valid duration of their visa. If you have applied for 30 days visa, you can enter and exit Vietnam only once within 30 days. If you exit Vietnam even before the validity expires, the visa will be invalid automatically. You need to apply for a new Vietnam visa if you want to visit Vietnam again. That is why you need to plan before. If you are on a business trip, it is better to get multiple entry visa as Vietnam visa is cheap and viable option as well.

With Multiple entry visa, in contrast, you can enter and exit the visa as many as times you want within one month or 3 months. In case, your schedule was changed due to several reasons, you can change your single entry visa into multiple entry visa. But, still, it is applicable only certain circumstances, and let’s take a look into it.

  • If you have just applied for Vietnam visa and you have not yet paid, or your application is still underpayment, you can login to your account and edit the information or send the agency an email about your request, and they will help you.
  • If you have applied and made payment for the service fee and if the application is not processed or is not sent to the Vietnam Immigration Department, you can change the visa type.
  • If you have received your approval letter, you cannot change any information on the letter because the Vietnam Immigration Department does not allow it or have any correction policy for the issued visa approval letter. In that case, you have got two options, including you can re-apply for cheap Vietnam visa for a new multiple entries or you can use the single entry visa approval letter to enter Vietnam and then apply for a new Vietnam visa for multiple entries.

How to apply for Vietnam visa?

It is easy to obtain a visa from Taiwan and Vietnam visa cost is reasonable. You have got two options: you can approach the embassy or apply visa on arrival online. When compared to obtaining a visa through an embassy, applying online is very easy and affordable as well. If you applying g online, you need to fill the application with the right details, confirm and pay $25 for the processing fee, and you will get the approval letter through email and it will take 2 business days to get it.

Once you receive the approval letter get a copy and take it with you. Upon arrival, submit the visa letter, passport, 2 photo copies, and stamping fee of $50 to the immigration officer to get your visa stamped on the passport. This same process goes for both single and multiple entry visa.
