2. Maison Marou

If you’re a chocolate lover, you should head off to Maison Marou, which lies in Hanoi’s Diplomatic Quarter. Not only are their chocolates made out of the finest cocoa, it’s the first company in Vietnam to have a bean-to-table bakery and it consists exclusively of Vietnamese cocoa. You can try sweets such as brownies, macarons and top it off with a chocolate drink. You can never have too much chocolate here.

3. O’Doucers

This local bakery made its debut in 2014 and has since been one of the most beloved places to get your pastries at. It’s owned by Silen Garrigues, a French Pastry Chef, who wanted to bring French quality baked goods to Vietnam. Although the café is small, it has full of charm and a cozy atmosphere, where you can try some of his specialties, such as his truffles, cakes, eclairs, and their fabulous pain au chocolat that is best enjoyed with a cup of coffee.

4. Delica Hans

A place for the ones with a real sweet tooth, here you can everything from chocolate cakes, chia seed bread, fruit tarts, opera cakes and even doughnuts! But the bakery changes their menu from time to time, so if you can’t find your favourite pastry, just remember that you’ll probably find something just as good. The bakery is located in the exclusive Lotte Hanoi Hotel.

5. Saint Honore

One of the most popular bakeries in Hanoi is Saint Honore, which produces some of the best  bread in town. The atmosphere is cozy as well so it’s a good place to sit down and enjoy a pastry and coffee. If you’d like something savory first, they also have a food menu with different options such as salads, sandwiches, paninis and galettes. When it comes to sweets, you should definitely try their mini pineapple cake, which is nothing but divine. It goes great with a cup of coffee or tea.

6. Paris Baguette

This lovely café is a branch from Korea but has made its way to Vietnam. It’s a spacious bakery with lots of baked goods but also more savory snacks such as salads and sandwiches. They also have a wide variety of delicious drinks that you can complement with your pastry. Some of the sweets you can find here includes macarons, tarts, pain au chocolate, croissants and cakes.
