If you are a citizen from Azerbaijan and you’re thinking of traveling to Vietnam, you will need to apply for a visa in order to enter the country. But the times when getting a visa was complicated and expensive are over – now you can even get one online without having to send away any important documents or passport. However, if you go to the island of Phu Quoc via any of the international ports, you do not need to apply for a visa if you only intend to stay for less than 30 days. But if you want to visit other places besides Phu Quoc, you need to apply for a visa.
There are three options for you: if you visit Vietnam for less than 30 days with a single entry, you can apply for an e-visa; if you want a multiple-entry visa or stay for more than 30 days, either you get a Visa on Arrival or you go to the nearest Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate and apply for a visa there.
1. Electronic visa or Vietnam e-visa for citizens of Azerbaijan
This is an actual visa which will be issued electronically, and you can show it at the passport control when you are entering Vietnam. You don’t need to stop by the landing visa desk to pick up the actual visa as you would have to with a “Visa on Arrival” (VOA). The fee is low and is non-refundable if rejected or failed. There is, however, an opportunity to get a 100% Money Back Guarantee policy if you apply your e-visa through our website https://www.evisa-vietnam.com – the price is higher with this insurance. The E-Visa is really easy to apply to and it allows travelers to apply directly online. It also allows you to enter Vietnam via airports, land ports and seaports. So if you are planning on coming to Vietnam by cruise ship, road or airplane, this is a good choice.
The E-visa is valid for 30 days, single entry, which means that if you intend on staying for longer and wish to have a multiple-entries visa, you will have to apply for a Visa on Arrival.
2. Visa on arrival (VOA) – Apply online for pre-approval then pick up visa on arrival at the airport of Vietnam
If you choose to apply for a Visa on Arrival, also called VOA, you will need to fill out all necessary information in the online form. The VOA is the most popular option since it is convenient, easy to apply to, quick and affordable. You can apply for this visa from anywhere in the world. All you need is a computer and internet. Also important to note is that you don’t have to send away your passport, or other important private documents, anywhere. Once you have filled out the Online Application Form, you will get a confirmation letter within 1-2 working hours in order to see the status of your Online Application. You will then normally receive your Approval Letter within 2 business days. When the letter comes, don’t forget to print it out so the immigration officers in Vietnam can stamp your passport.
If, by any chance, you need to get a visa more urgently, there is the option to apply for an Emergency Visa. We will then proceed your visa within 30 minutes to 4 hours. As soon as you arrive at one of the International Airports in Vietnam, you will have your visa ready.
Also, you now have the option to buy “On Arrival Support”, which is a very good option for those who wants to check in to Vietnam faster:
- Standard Support : +US$20/pp
Our staff will meet you in front of the “visa on arrival” desk with a welcome board, then take care all procedures necessary to get the visa stamped on your passport. Please prepare 25 USD/person and give it to our staff to pay for visa stamp fee.
- VIP Support : +US$35/pp
Our staff will meet you in front of the “visa on arrival” desk with a welcome board, receive your passport and give it back with the visa in 5-10 minutes, then escort you to check out via the VIP gate. Please prepare 25 USD/person and give it to our staff to pay for visa stamp fee.
3. Get your visa through the Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate in Azerbaijan
If you do not wish to apply for a VOA, there is the opportunity to get a visa at the Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate in Azerbaijan. This is not preferred by many though, since it can be quite inconvenient if you don’t live close to the embassy or consulate. You will have to then spend time and money on transportation and will have to remember to bring all necessary documents in order for the process to go through. If you fail to bring everything, you will have to start the process all over again. This can be time consuming, but it is the second option for you to choose from.
If you are looking for a country to go to which offers amazing cuisine, adventure, beautiful landscape, impressive cities, high quality hotels, some of the best coffee in the world and an overall atmosphere that will captivate you and will make you want to stay longer – then you should go to Vietnam! Not only is it one of Asia’s most popular tourist destination, it’s also very affordable to travel in and you get an incredibly good value for the money you spend. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why many people love Vietnam.
As long as you have applied for a visa, you can enter the country and enjoy your journey into one of the most beautiful countries in Southeast Asia.
