If you are considering if you should travel to Vietnam or not, the answer is really simple. Why on earth wouldn’t you come here? Do as many other Europeans and travel to the exotic and warm country of Vietnam. Whether you are just tired of the harsh winter in Europe or your curiosity has been sparked when it comes to Asia, this is a perfect destination for anyone who is seeking adventure.
Vietnam has experienced a big tourism boom in the latest years and is now a very popular travel destination. Vietnam has long been overshadowed by their neighbour Thailand, but lately it has been giving them a run for their money. What is it that makes tourists wanna come to Vietnam? Well, first of all – there are plenty of reasons. But everyone is individual and travels for different reasons. But what’s so great about Vietnam is that since it is so diverse, it usually caters to many people. If you love nature, you can escape to the beautiful sand beaches, hike in the mountains, go trekking for days, travel to the north and see the rice terraces. Many people hire a motorbike and travel from the north to the south, which enables you to see many places that you might’ve missed if you’d relied on public transportation.
If you are more of a city person, there is Hanoi which has a really cool vibe. Many people tend to get stuck there simply because there is so much to do and it has become a very livable city. You can also go for the slightly busier city Ho Chi Minh City in the south. If you prefer smaller places, you can immerse yourself in tiny Hoi An, which has catched many foreigners eyes. Not only is it incredibly beautiful to look at, but the atmosphere and the culture is fascinating.
Vietnam also has Phu Quoc island, which has recently become a big tourist destination. Go there to relax in one of the many beaches, live the island life and have a drink (or two!) for sunset. If this doesn’t sound like paradise to you, then we don’t know what does.
Electronic visa or Vietnam e-visa for citizens of the Netherlands launched
From 01 Feb 2019, under Decision 17/2019/NĐ-CP of the Government of Vietnam, citizens of Netherlands are eligible to apply online for an e-visa of Vietnam online (e-visa is a single entry valid for staying 30 days).
Netherlands passport holders, who want to visit Vietnam for less than 30 days for a single trip, can apply online for an e-visa directly at the government website https://evisa.immigration.gov.vn(please note that the fee is non-refundable if you apply your e-visa at the government website).
If you want to secure your e-visa with refundable policy (100% satisfied or get back your money) you can apply your e-visa through our easy form application (filling your entry date, entry and exit port of arrival then submit your passport copy online) then we will take care the rest of procedure to get your e-visa on time as promise.
Note : if you want to visit Vietnam for multiple times in one month or want to visit Vietnam for more than one month, please choose options below :
If you are from the Netherlands, you are required to apply for a visa. There are two options for you: one is to apply online for an e-visa (30 days, single entry) or a Visa on Arrival (for more than 30 days or multiple entries) which we recommend, and the other option is to contact the local Vietnam Embassy to get your visa stamped on your passport before arriving to Vietnam.
We recommend the first option because an e-visa or a Visa on Arrival is so easy to apply for. You only need a computer and internet, and you can apply from anywhere in the world! It is convenient, safe, cheap and you don’t need to go to any embassy or send your passport or any other important documents. After sending your Online Application form, you will receive a confirmation letter in around 1-2 working hours. Normally you will receive an Approval Letter within 2 working days. When you receive it, don’t forget to print it out and bring it to the immigration officers in Vietnam so they can stamp your passport. If you need an emergency visa, you can get it proceeded from 30 minutes to 4 hours. However, this will cost you more money.
The second option isn’t as convenient because if you don’t live close to the embassy of Vietnam in the Netherlands, it will not only take you time, but money as well, to get there. If you forgot to bring all the necessary documents, you will then have to start all over again with the process and go to the Vietnamese Embassy again. However, this is one of the choices you can choose from, and if you live in The Hague, this might be a good option for you.
We are so excited to see you join us on the other side of the world – come immerse yourself in the Vietnamese culture and don’t forget to taste some delicious “pho” while you’re at it. Who knows, you might become one of many expats who fell in love with Vietnam and decided to stay there long term.
